Candice Cox, LMHC, LPC, NCC

Candice is a compassionate and experienced mental health professional licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Iowa and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Wisconsin. With more than 16 years of experience in the mental health field, she has worked across diverse clinical settings, helping adolescents, adults, and families navigate life's challenges and build lasting emotional wellness.

Candice specializes in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, grief and loss, stress management concerns, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. She is particularly passionate about serving soldiers, veterans, and military families, recognizing the unique emotional and relational challenges that can accompany military service and reintegration.

Working with individuals ages 16 and older, Candice takes an integrative, person-centered, and strengths-based approach to therapy. She believes that each person possesses inherent resilience and the capacity for growth, and she partners with clients to create a therapeutic experience tailored to their unique goals, strengths, and life circumstances.

Her clinical training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and somatic approaches that address the connection between mind and body. Candice has also completed advanced training in Attachment-Focused Family Therapy with Dan Hughes and Polyvagal Theory with Deb Dana, enhancing her ability to help clients heal from trauma, strengthen relationships, and develop greater emotional regulation.

Candice provides a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can safely explore challenges, develop practical coping skills, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, recovering from trauma, facing a major life transition, or seeking greater balance and emotional well-being, she is committed to helping you build a healthier and more fulfilling life.

Additional Information

Candice is a Nationally Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). 

Candice holds her 200hr Yoga Teacher certification and provides trauma-informed yoga.

Providing therapy services across the states of Iowa and Wisconsin via telehealth and serving in-person therapy to Dubuque, Peosta, and surrounding areas.
